would it really be that terrible to give those of us who do have undetectible loads a reason to feel good about ourselves?....i was truly elated when i read the initial report from the swiss doctor, and watched an interview with him online.I dont know many people who use hiv med's in a haphazzard fashion..or who have had any trouble acheiving and maintaining an undetectable load. the only true way to stop the hiv epidemic is through vacination...if one is ever realized....or, by rendering the infected uninfectious....wich this doctor feels has essentially been achieved.safer sex propaganda is terrific and all....but, let's face it....people still take risks....and EVERYONE even slightly concious is aware of the risks and how to avoid them!

Eric- Very nicely summarized and said. On the medical side, many of us in HIV Prevention and Treatment and who do research in this area were concerned the wrong messaging would come out of the Swiss report. You hit the points on both sides of the argument well. And, until we have an effective vaccine, education and primary barrier protection for prevention are the best vaccines we currently have. Michael Wong, MD,

Suppose they have sex with people who are hypersensitive to the virus? There are people on both ends of the spectrum. There are people who will get a runny nose and there are people who are hypersensitive.

Draw a Bell Curve!
