Larry V. Day has worked extensive in the human services field in the Boston area for over 20 years, with the last several focusing on HIV/AIDS. Prior to coming to AIDS Action Committee in the fall of 2004, he worked at the Boston Living Center for 3 years. His passion for this work comes through every thing he does and he is a sought after speaker.

His dedication the HIV/AIDS community is seen in his many affiliations Larry currently sits as Chair of the Boston EMA Ryan White Planning Council a seat he has held for 3 years. Recently he was selected to sit on the Board of Directors of Victory Programs Inc. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the MA Hepatitis C Coalition and also sits on the Boston Medical Center’s, Center for HIV/AIDS Care and Research CAB and the Boston Health Care for the Homeless CAB HIV subcommittee.

Larry has championed the rights of persons living with HIV/AIDS through speaking at universities, churches and various community events through New England and beyond. He is currently taking legal advocacy classes at U Mass Boston and is a working musician, playing in several R&B and Gospel groups around the Boston area.
