Lindsay Broockman joined AIDS Action in September 2006 as Volunteer Manager, strategizing about volunteer needs and recruiting and coordinating volunteers across the organization. A native of Austin, TX, she is a lifelong volunteer herself. She started a creative writing program for residents of a transitional HIV/AIDS home, helped adult learners gain mastery of English, and today is involved in tenant organizing. Lindsay recently graduated with a degree in international development from Brown University. She has led grassroots rural development projects in Chiapas, Mexico and central Ecuador.
