Rebecca Haag
Executive Director
AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, Inc. & AIDS Action Council

AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, Inc. and AIDS Action Council are two organizations that work to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the United States on a local and national level. My goal is to develop collaborative relationships that bridge the HIV/AIDS and non-AIDS service communities during a period of progressive public budget cuts. Just as critically, in my current role with AIDS Action in DC, I am leading a national initiative to develop a 10-year strategic plan to eliminate the AIDS epidemic in the U.S. The AIDS epidemic has continued in our country for 25 years and it is my intent to identify measurable outcomes and specific timelines that will result in ending this costly and painful epidemic. I am developing a panel of business, academic and health care experts outside of the HIV field to help identify a course of action.

Before working to stop HIV/AIDS I worked for over 25 years as an executive and senior manager in a variety of corporate and government settings, with extensive experience in organization development, operational and fiscal management and strategic planning. I have also served as a board member and volunteer at several non-profit organizations, including the Center for Women & Enterprise, the Women’s Leadership Institute of Wells College, the Human Resources Campaign Fund, Bright Horizons, and the Cambridge YWCA.

I graduated from Wells College, and received my MBA from Boston University. Now I live in Jamaica Plain Massachusetts with my partner.
